Rune De Ruyck
Hi, I'm Rune. A Belgium-based filmmaker and photographer working across documentary, adventure and commercial productions.
My work is driven by a strong interest in documenting in demanding environments — where real elements rule and real stories are told.
Experience
Over the past years, I've developed and contributed to a wide range of projects across Europe, Africa and Asia.
In Africa, I've spent extended periods working on long-distance cycling expeditions in remote regions. Helping capture and guide "Velo Adventures" cycling trips — a role that requires logistical awareness, local sensitivity and the ability to operate independently in unpredictable conditions. You have to be more than just the person behind the camera.
I'm comfortable operating fully solo, leading small, agile teams, or integrating into larger international productions — depending on the size and needs of the project.
Extensive field experience in remote and logistically complex environments has shaped me to have a resilient and efficient way of working, with a strong focus on trust, adaptability and situational awareness.
